Capture the Green Through One’s Eyes
Welcome to Capture the Green through One’s Eyes Photo Shooting Contest 2010 We, Leo Club of Monash University would like to call out to every Students out there to join us in this environmental photo shooting contest. The main objective of this contest to is raise awareness among entrants regarding the environmental issues in our society as well as instill passion in photography.
What Kind of Picture that we want?
Any Picture that show the society the positve/ negative consequences of their act to our mother nature. Not restricted to greeneries.
Furthermore, up to 13 fantastic prizes up for grabs with you, SoNOW take up your camera and capture the beauty of our mother nature!!!!!!!

Terms & Conditions
Entry Requirements:
• The contest is open to all Malaysian students and International students who are currently studying in Malaysia, and must be between 18 to 25 years old.
• All organizing committees of Leo Club of Monash University Sunway Campus (“The Club”), or any other official organizers, sponsors, judging panel members or administrators of this photo shooting contest and their immediate family members are NOT allowed to participate in this contest.
Entry Fees:
This contest is Free-of-Charge. Contestants are NOT required to pay any fees to take part in this contest.
Photo Submission:
• Each entrant can only submit ONE (1) submission with maximum FIVE (5) photographs.
• Entries should be submitted by email ONLY to capturethegreen2010@gmail.com
• Each photograph should be named as “name of entrant_number of photograph”. For example, if two photographs are submitted, name them “KYLim_1” and “KYLim_2”respectively.
• Each submission should be accompanied by a completed application form which can be downloaded here in this web site
• Entrants that fail to complete the aforementioned details will be disqualified.
Eligible Images:
• The photographs submitted should be in the file format of JPEG ONLY. Any other file format will be disqualified.
• Each photograph should be limited to a Maximum file size of 1MB.
• Composite photographs, trick photographs, or and any form of digital imaging will NOT be accepted.
• Cropping, cloning and other Photoshop image manipulation is NOT allowed.
• Contrast and brightness adjustment is allowed.
• All submitted photographs must have been taken by the entrant.
Limitation of Liability:
• It is a condition of entry that the Terms & Conditions of the contest are accepted and that entrants agree to abide by the rules.
• The copyright of winning photograph will be assigned to “The Club”
• While all possible care will be taken in handling all entries, “The Club” will not assume any responsibility for loss or damage to the photographs.
• “The Club” will not be responsible for any claims or complaints from any person depicted in the submitted photographs, should these photographs be published or exhibited. Such responsibility remains with the entrant.
• “The Club” reserves the right to replace the prize with other gift of equivalent or reserve the right to amend the Terms & Conditions without prior notice. All prizes are non-exchangeable for cash or other products.
• Failure to comply with the Terms & Conditions will be disqualified regardless whether if he/she is the winner or otherwise.
• The decision of the judges will be final.

Judging Criteria
The contest will include TWO rounds of evaluation
Round 1:
• The judges will review a portion of the entries and select the Top 13 finalists to Round 2 based on the following criteria:
1. Relevance to the theme—“Capture the Green through One’s Eye”. Photographs should show positive and/or negative consequences of human act to the environment.
2. Technical execution
3. Composition
4. Creativity and originality
• Entrants who are shortlisted for Round 2 will be required to provide the original copy of the photographs in a CD or DVD, with the Original size and resolution. The name of entrants should be written on the disc and the photographs should be named as mentioned above.
• The Top 13 finalists will be selected within 2 weeks of the closing date and will be notified immediately.
Round 2:
• The Top 13 finalists will be invited to Monash University during the Prize Giving Day to compete for the Top 3 prizes.
• The Top 13 finalists are required to contact Leo Club of Monash University Sunway Campus (“The Club”) to confirm the attendance on prize giving day within 10 days of notification.
• In the event of non-acceptance within the specified period, or if the person is not contactable, “The Club” reserves the right to reallocate the prize awarded to another contestant.
• The finalists are required to give a brief presentation on their photographs. Marks will be given based on the relevance of the photograph to the theme of this photo shooting contest “Capture the Green through one’s eyes”.
• After the presentation of the finalists, Top 3 winners will be chosen and Consolation prizes will be awarded to the remaining 10 finalists.
