Judging Criteria

The contest will include TWO rounds of evaluation

Round 1:

• The judges will review a portion of the entries and select the Top 13 finalists to Round 2 based on the following criteria:

1. Relevance to the theme—“Capture the Green through One’s Eye”. Photographs should show positive and/or negative consequences of human act to the environment.
2. Technical execution
3. Composition
4. Creativity and originality

• Entrants who are shortlisted for Round 2 will be required to provide the original copy of the photographs in a CD or DVD, with the Original size and resolution. The name of entrants should be written on the disc and the photographs should be named as mentioned above.

• The Top 13 finalists will be selected within 2 weeks of the closing date and will be notified immediately.

Round 2:

• The Top 13 finalists will be invited to Monash University during the Prize Giving Day to compete for the Top 3 prizes.

• The Top 13 finalists are required to contact Leo Club of Monash University Sunway Campus (“The Club”) to confirm the attendance on prize giving day within 10 days of notification.

• In the event of non-acceptance within the specified period, or if the person is not contactable, “The Club” reserves the right to reallocate the prize awarded to another contestant.

• The finalists are required to give a brief presentation on their photographs. Marks will be given based on the relevance of the photograph to the theme of this photo shooting contest “Capture the Green through one’s eyes”.

• After the presentation of the finalists, Top 3 winners will be chosen and Consolation prizes will be awarded to the remaining 10 finalists.
